Our layer hens are a cross between Rhode Island Reds and White Rock. The hens are free to roam the entire farm to forage on grasses, legumes, and tasty bugs. We feed our hens hay in the winter to keep up the nutritional value of the eggs. Their diet includes no medications or hormones. We sell our eggs at farmers' markets and year round on the farm.

Pasture raised eggs can be higher in vitamin A, E, beta-carotene, and omega 3 fatty acids, and they can also be lower in cholesterol.
